SPORT KARATE-A great investment for your child!
From one parent to another, an education in sport karate is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child. Its very nature makes it a one of a kind activity that provides the most valuable tools and experiences to help positively impact your child’s future. Among the benefits are:
*Greater self-confidence
*Greater discipline and self control
*Healthy self-image (Especially for girls)
*Improved focus and concentration
*Improved coordination, balance and control
*Constant mentoring (From peers as well as instructors)
*Early eye-hand coordination and body control (Dragons)
*Constant participation-No one sits the bench!  Every child is 1st string
*Leadership training and development
*Community service opportunities
*Recommendations for jobs and colleges
*CONSTANT REINFORCEMENTS OF VALUES MOST PARENTS ARE TRYING TO INSTIL IN THEIR CHILDREN
No other activity provides these benefits for your child ALL AT ONE PLACE AT ONE TIME!  So now, you have to ask yourself this question; is a sport karate education what I want for my child?  If the answer is “YES,” then this is what you’ll need to do.  BECOME YOUR CHILD’S BIGGEST FAN, ASSITANT COACH AND CHEERLEADER!
Most households have rules that are structured around the values of the parents.  If you’re a sport karate “home coach,” there are certain things you must make a part of your home environment.
1.)   Make sure your child is in class a minimum of twice a week.
2.)   Watch your child in class.  Let them know you care and take an interest in their growth and development.  (Don’t hold back on the critiques or “high fives.”)
3.)   Set aside 10 minutes each day for practice (Supervise to make sure it is being done properly.)
4.)   When your child hits a rough patch (They will inevitably in everything they do) keep them going with words of encouragement and positive action.  Life has potholes. They will learn how to navigate around them by YOU!  When you give in, they will GIVE UP!
5.)   Become a sport karate family.  Make that activity a part of your household culture. Be a part of special events and activities in the school.  ATTEND TOURNAMENTS (That is the “game aspect” of what we do.  Keeps students engaged and excited.)  Watch sport karate on the internet (My friend and world champion Jessica Robeson has created a site called Bitzkick.com that features thousands of sport karate videos.  These videos are easily accessible on Youtube.  Watch age appropriate martial arts movies with your kids.  The Tulls all watched the latest installment of the Karate Kid and Avatar together.  We had a blast!
6.)   Follow the example of the Tulls, Horan/Mills, Neimans and most recently, the Adah family; DO SPORT KARATE with your kids!  No matter what you think, you’re child will enjoy spending that quality time with you (Even in their teen years when you think they want to get away from you!)  It’s an experience you all can share together.  My interest in the arts came from my father, a Chinese Kung Fu practitioner. My brother, Master Charles Tull Jr, is my instructor, coach and inspiration. Mrs. Lori Tull is one of my top Black Belts.   As you can see from the picture above, it has helped me build an even stronger bond with my son Devin. I am not only his instructor; I’m his workout partner as well!  Jordan is coming up as well.  Sport karate is definitely a “family affair” in our home.
So parents!  You’ve made a valuable investment in your child’s future.  You’ll never regret it or forget it.  Get on board!  Stay on board!  And we remember that we are always here to help when you need it!
Keep kicking!
Have a great day!
Mr. Tull
